  2. Mathematics – Number, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics, and probability.
  3. Science and Technology – Science concepts, inquiry skills, and technologies including digital literacy.
  4. Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) – History and geography.
  5. Creative Arts – Visual arts, music, drama, and dance.
  6. Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) – Health, wellbeing, physical activity, and personal development.

Further information about the NSW curriculum is available at NESA.

Religion and ethics

At our school, students can take part in special religious education (SRE) class. At Mathoura Public School, Christian SRE is provided. The approved providers in this combined arrangement are from the Baptist Union of NSW. All Christian SRE teachers are authorised and trained by an approved provider. The Christian SRE curriculum is authorised by the Baptist Union of NSW. The curriculum is based on Good News about Jesus Christ and learning the key elements of our Christian life and culture . Christian SRE engages students in conversations as they question life, explore values and discover faith. More information can be found at https://nswactbaptists.org.au/baptistsre.

When enrolling your child, you’ll be able to choose an option from the approved providers offered at our school. Students not attending SRE are given supervised alternative meaningful activities referred to as 'Values'.

You’re welcome to change your choice at any time. Just let us know in writing or use the online form (if available at our school).

High potential and gifted education

At our school, we give the right support to help gifted learners to grow and do their best.

We notice these students early. They may learn quickly or show strong skills in creativity, leadership, problem solving or sport. We help them stay challenged with lessons and activities that match their strengths.
